Residential Pebble Fina® finishes applied by "Sierra" Stone and Aggregate, Inc. come with a five year warranty. Residential Pebble Tec® and Pebble Sheen® finishes applied by "Sierra" Stone and Aggregate, Inc. come with a lifetime warranty. However, this warranty does not include service or repair of a finish that has been abused and not properly maintained. Calcium deposits (scaling) from corrosive water or staining from foreign material in the pool are not covered by the our warranty. You can maintain the luxurious finish of your pool for many years to come by keeping the water chemistry balanced. The water chemistry of your swimming pool needs to be maintained at certain levels to prohibit scaling and discoloration. Historically, swimming pools have had a white marcite interior finish and any calcium scale blended with the color of the marcite and was not easily seen. With colored finishes, however, the scale is more prevalent. Scale usually starts to show as white streaks in the floor of the pool. It makes it appear as if the finish is fading. This faded look can appear in any swimming pool finish, not just Pebble Tec®. Here are the guidelines that we recommend for your water chemistry:

The importance of keeping these levels cannot be stressed enough. The pH and Calcium levels are the most important when it comes to keeping scale off of your new finish. As the pH rises, the water can become so saturated with calcium that it literally “falls out” and starts attaching to the flat surfaces of the pool. This results in that “faded” look. Another recommendation we have is to use Jack’s Magic water treatment additive to your swimming pool. This product breaks down scale and heavy metals so that the filter can pull them out of the water. The recommended level of the Jack’s Magic is 12 ppm. Sweeping your pool once or twice a week can also help, even if you have a pool sweep. By brushing your pool, it suspends any debris in the water so that it can be captured by the filter. Checking your chemical levels regularly is also a necessity. We recommend once or twice a week for this as well, even if you have a pool service. You or your pool service should maintain a record of your water chemistry values. By following these simple guidelines, you can maintain the luxurious finish of your swimming pool for many years to come. Thank you very much for choosing Pebble Tec®.
